The RES-Q Wedge is is a washable and reusable vinyl-covered foam wedge used for the management of infant reflux. Orthopedically designed, the wedge helps bring the shoulders slightly forward while providing good head molding. In addition, it helps place the cervical spine in a natural position. The wedge is also reversible. One side is designed like a parent's chest and is for "tummy time" to help strengthen muscles for gross motor skills. The other side of the wedge has a scooped out "nest" that offers containment and boundaries for newborns in addition to nice head molding. The accompanying RES-Q Sling is secured to the wedge via Velcro straps that attach within a "slit" in the wedge. The sling is adjustable up and down the incline so that the infant can be placed in the optimum position for comfort.

The RES-Q Infant Wedge/Sling is designed to allow babies with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Ear Infections, Upper Respiratory Congestion, and Sleep Disturbances to sleep comfortably in a semi-upright position.
The wedge is constructed at a 30° angle, which is standard reflux protocol. The RES-Q Infant Wedge is currently used in hospitals and is now available for private home use. The Wedge/Sling allows babies with reflux to achieve a restful sleep state - parents will also appreciate the benefits of a well rested infant!

The first night we put our 2 month-old on the wedge, she slept six and a half hours! We actually awoke her to change her diaper. I couldn't believe it! It was the best night we have had since she was born! I really don't care if our insurance covers the wedge or not because it is worth EVERY penny!
