Baby Bjorn Infant Carrier --THE BEST baby purchase so far
Pros
Goodness, many more than 15... Simple to use/wear/assemble/adjust, anyone can wear it, COMFORTABLE
Cons
Is pricey (around $80), but is ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY
The Bottom Line
Baby Bjorn's Infant Carrier is one of the best purchases you can make if you have (or are expecting) a little one. I couldn't live without mine!
New motherhood has brought many insights -- one of which is the fact that even though something LOOKS good on paper, doesn't mean it actually IS good. Before Aidan was born I did some research and decided on the New Native Baby Sling. I had looked at the Baby Bjorn model but decided that, at $80, it was too expensive for my taste. So I tried the baby sling and I had another insight -- apparently I'm way too stupid to use it. I do have a fairly high IQ (somewhere in the low 140s), but I cannot seem to figure out how to operate a baby sling. Then, while garage sale shopping, I came across the Baby Bjorn Infant Carrier for $20 and I bought it in a heartbeat. ANYTHING had to be better than the New Native Sling, and for only $20 I was willing to give it a shot.
Am I ever glad I stopped by that garage sale.
Product Specs
Developed together with parents and leading medical experts, the BABYBJĂ–RN Baby Carrier keeps baby close and warm while allowing Mom and Dad to carry on with daily activities. Unique styling has given our carrier "celebrity" status. Winner of Silver Award, Design of the Decade, IDSA, 1999, USA as one of the best 36 products of the decade.
A Safe Carrier That Grows With Your Baby
The carrier provides safe and snug head support for the small baby. When your baby becomes a little older and his neck is strong enough to support his head, he can be carried facing outward. The neck-rest can then be folded down giving the baby a birds-eye view of his surroundings. The carrier grows with the baby thanks to an adjustable buckle that gives maximum comfort for all ages.
Quick and Easy to Put On
The carrier is quick and easy to put on and take off as all adjustments are made in the front. Wide, padded straps distribute the weight evenly over your back, taking strain off your shoulders. The front opens allowing you to lay your sleeping baby down without waking him.
This product is intended for infants 21" or longer, and a weight of 8 lbs or greater. You can use the carrier until your baby reaches a weight of 22 lbs (or so). When you are using it for an infant weight around 8 lbs, there are extra straps to keep them from sliding out. You can use the Baby Bjorn carrier to carry your infant facing towards you, or away from you. They are VERY CLEAR on the fact that your child should ALWAYS be facing your chest until they have proper neck control. Once they can hold their head steady, you can have them face outward.
My Experience
I cannot comment about the packaging (because I bought it secondhand), but I bought a very pretty navy blue carrier with a little anchor sewn into the front of it. According to the website, the Baby Bjorn comes in 7 different colors/patterns. So, I get the Baby Bjorn home and read through the instruction manual. I'm impressed IMMEDIATELY. I haven't seen an instruction manual as clear, detailed and easy to follow as the one I received with my carrier. In addition, the instructions are printed ON THE CARRIER ITSELF (in case you ever lose them), and they're online. What more can you ask for?
I decided that I wanted to wash it before strapping my son in it (he's in the stage where EVERYTHING goes in the mouth, and I really don't know where the carrier had been), so I checked the label on the carrier. MACHINE WASHABLE! How great is that? Just chuck it in with warm water, some gentle detergent and click on the delicate cycle and viola, clean carrier (make sure to disassemble it before you throw it in). After it's clean, just hang it on a hanger to dry. It dries fairly quickly, and in a few hours my Baby Bjorn Carrier was ready for Aidan to use.
I read through the instruction manual and hooked the straps together, which just involved two quick steps, and slid the carrier on. I was REALLY impressed with how easy it was to assemble and put on. Normally it takes a few tries to really get the hang of a contraption like this, but I felt like an old pro the first time I put it on. In addition, with the instructions printed right on the carrier I could just glance down to make sure I was doing everything correctly. It was super easy to put on. So I picked my son up, settled him into place and snapped the buttons -- without ANY help from my husband. This is fantastic, you can hook your child in virtually one handed. All the adjustments are made in the front, so you can also adjust the carrier with your baby in it. I just pulled on some straps and within a few seconds had Aidan positioned exactly the way the instruction manual said. Almost immediately I noticed how safe and secure Aidan felt. I leaned over, bent forward, knelt down, and I didn't feel him budge a bit. He seemed perfectly happy and safe strapped into the Bjorn (while kicking his legs like a madman).
I decided to walk around for a little while to see if it hurt my back (I have a horrible back), which was a major complaint I had with the New Native Sling. There was no back, neck or shoulder pain at all. The wide, cushioned straps seem to distribute his weight evenly so there is no tension on your shoulders or neck. I couldn't believe how lightweight and comfortable it felt on -- it was like my neck and back didn't realize I was carrying around an extra 14.5 lbs on my chest.
After a little stroll around the house I decided to test whether I could get him OUT of the carrier without disturbing him (like the website claimed). I leaned forward, so Aidan was resting on the floor, unsnapped a few clasps and viola, Aidan was released without me having to jostle him at all. You can also pick him up out of the carrier with very little effort. This carrier was starting to seem like a dream come true!
So what else do I like about it? For starters, it is completely adjustable. Why do I like that? Well, my New Native Sling is fitted directly to you, so your husband (or anyone else) can't wear it. If you want one for your husband, you have to shell out money for another carrier (which would bring the sling into the Baby Bjorn price range anyway!). However, the Baby Bjorn sling can adjust to anyone. It's easy to adjust as well, just put the baby in, adjust a few straps and it's ready to go. My husband LOVES the Bjorn, he totes Aidan around everywhere with it. My mom loves it, too. It doesn't even hurt her back and she weighs all of 100 lbs (and she's 60... shhh, don't tell anyone I told you that!).
Next, the Baby Bjorn grows with Aidan. It has a strap that can be adjusted as he gets taller. The strap is quick and easy to adjust, and it gives you instructions on when it is time to change the setting (the first setting is 21 - 23.5", second 23.5 - 26", third 26" - 35.5").
Finally, Aidan LOVES THIS THING! He would scream when I tried to place him in the New Native Sling, I don't think he liked the curled up position it kept him in... but he just smiles when I put him in the Baby Bjorn. He gets the closeness to mom (or dad or grandma...etc) combined with a bird's eye view of everything going on. I take him for walks in this every morning (about a mile every day) and he gets to see all the animals and birds moving around (we live in a fairly heavily forested area). When I would take him in the stroller, he could only really see me and that's not very interesting... Aidan would get bored and start to cry during the trek. The same thing would happen when I'd try to walk with him in the baby sling, but now he watches the trees and bushes move in the wind, the birds flying around and the water moving in the lake. He is constantly involved with watching the movement in the mornings, fascinated with everything. Plus he gets the added bonus of chewing on one of his favorite toys, the front of the carrier. He gets the experience of seeing everything I do, and I get the extra burn of walking a mile while packing close to 15 pounds onto my chest.
So, would you recommend this?
Oh heck YEAH I'd recommend this carrier. It is completely worth the retail price of $80
I've been using this every day for about a month and I must say, it's a lifesaver. The daily morning walks are so much more enjoyable with him strapped in this (as opposed to pushing a stroller in the street) and I have never experienced any back, neck or shoulder pain.
I've never had the fear that Aidan would fall out (which I felt quite often when he was in the sling). Even if I bend over, I know he's secured well enough that he won't budge.
Besides the price, what isn't there to love about this carrier? It's versatile enough that many members of the family can use it, it is comfortable to use, easy to put on/take off, and easy to adjust. There are instructions printed on the carrier that are clear and understandable (in addition to the printed instructions and the ones online!). It is machine washable and dries quickly. Aidan loves it, and I always feel he's safe and secure while being held in it. It seems like it would be safe even for the smallest baby with no neck control (because of the neck guard), even though Aidan was a little older when we bought ours.
I use it to carry him around while doing housework (he giggles insanely when I vacuum with him in the Bjorn), use it on walks, while walking through the mall -- basically I use it EVERYWHERE. This was the best $20 I've spent on Aidan so far -- and honestly, it would have been the best $80 I spent as well (if I had bought it at the store).
I can't truly comment on the durability of this carrier (because I've only had it for a month), but it had lasted the previous owner (who also LOVED it, her baby outgrew it) throughout the entire infancy... and it still looks BRAND NEW. I did a complete and thorough check of all the straps, buttons, and stitching before I bought it (I also watched the woman try it on and pull on various straps), and there was no wear and tear that I could see. She said she used it all the time with her little boy, and it really does look new. I could imagine this lasting not only through Aidan, but our next child as well.
I really couldn't see myself living without a Baby Bjorn Infant Carrier and I don't think you should either!

Baby Bjorn Air Carrier Review. Warm Weather Baby Carrier
The Baby Bjorn Air Carrier helps keep you and baby cooler with soft 3D mesh, specially desinged for Baby Bjon. The fabric keeps baby cool and comfortable while providing vital closeness between parent and baby. As with other Baby Bjorn Baby Carriers, the Air Carrier can be used for newborns (at least 8lbs, with the safety strap) as well as for older babies (up to 25lbs). Newborns should be carried facing inward and older babies that can hold their heads up may be carried forward facing.
The baby Bjorn Air Carrier is easy to fold into the attached elastic bag and takes up very little space. The bag folds into an inside pocket when not in use.
Features:
* Built-in support for baby's head
* Extra-soft mesh is comfortable against baby's chin
* Wide padded shoulder straps for maximum comfort
* Rigid mesh along sides gives excellent stability
* Flexible 3D mesh great dissipates heat and moisture
* Up to 138% better heat flow and 30% better moisture flow than other carriers
* Carrier fits neatly into attached bag; bag folds into inside pocket when not in use
Age: birth +; up to 25lbs
At first, any of the Baby Bjorn carriers - or any baby carrier, for that matter, can be a little intimidating when you first get them out of the box. There seems to be a maze of straps and clips to adjust. Fortunately, the learning curve is short and it literally becomes two snaps and you're ready to go. The clips that secure your baby in the carrier have a locked mode and they just make a small clicking noise that lets you know they're properly fastened. Many other baby carriers won't have that reassuring click. The straps adjust and there's also an adjustable head rest. At first, it's a good idea to keep your baby's head closer to you upright and loosen the headrest or don't use it at all as the baby learns to hold its head up on its own. An added plus is that the sound of your heartbeat can often mean lights out for any infant in a matter of minutes, which can give you a must-needed rest while still having them close to you.
The Baby Bjorn Air Carrier folds up compactly. It's completely machine washable.
One important thought to note is that if you need a little more back support or plan to wear your carrier for extended periods of time, the Baby Bjorn Active Carrier adds lumbar and comfort. Though the Air Carrier is really comfortable, the Active Carrier is considered the better baby front carrier for longer hikes or running errands.

great hot weather choice

Highly recommend this version for hot summer temps, no worry about your baby overheating. I do miss the support that my Bjorn Active gives, but small price to pay for safety of our baby!

Pros: You can have your hands free while safely carrying your child. Cons: Backpack straps are a bit confusing at first but easy to figure out.
This Baby Bjorn Air Baby Carrier is great! I am able to carry my twins in it (one baby at a time, of course) nearly all day! They seem very comfortable in it & I feel that the design is geared around safety. There are several latches & hooks so if one were to fail you still have several more supporting the weight of your child. I believe the material is supposed to offer "breathe-ability" but after a while of carrying my child in it I still manage to sweat where the straps & baby lay, but not too badly. All-in-all, it was well worth the money.

Baby Carriers For Twins. Babywearing for Twins
Baby Carriers For Twins. Babywearing and Twins
I get asked all the time whether it is possible to wear two babies at once. For parents of twins (or more), not only is it possible, but being able to wear your babies can be a real sanity saver.
Starting out, if you’re not comfortable slinging two babies at once, just being able to wear one baby while you hold the other can give your arms a much-needed break. A pouch is a great way to get started babywearing, since they’re quick and easy to learn and use. Having one pouch for each parent is ideal.
One carrier is an necessity, but two carriers are definitely nice to have. The biggest advantage of having multiple carriers is that you can also tie one of the babies onto someone else (Dad, Grandma, etc.). That’s a really great way to get a little break!
Once you’re ready to wear two at once, here are some tips for making it work:
Newborn twins (up to 3 months or so):
Wearing young twins in the same
Ellaroo wrap: For teeny babies, you can wear two babies together in a ring sling, pouch or wrap. Twins often like being squished together in the same sling when they are very young, just like in the womb.
Wearing Two in a Ring sling or pouch: The adjustability of ring slings makes it easy to fit two in at once. It is also possible to do this in a pouch sling, but look for an adjustable pouch (such as Mamma’s Milk), or go up one size in a non-adjustable pouch (such as Hotslings) so that there is room for the babies to grow. There are lots of great pictures of wearing two in pouches and ring slings on Karen Gromada’s website.
Wearing Two in a Wrap: A stretchy wrap (such as the Moby Wrap or the semi-stretchy Gypsy Mama Bali Baby Stretch) works really well with newborn twins, but a woven wrap can be really great, too. (Ellaroo wrap shown in photo). In fact, a wrap such as the Gypsy Mama or the Ellaroo can be a great investment, because you will be able to use them through the twins’ toddlerhood as they get heavier.
Here are some useful instructions for wearing twins in a wrap:
Wearing twins together in a wrap (hug hold) - Note: the instructions shown use a Moby Wrap, but you could also use a Gypsy Mama Bali Baby Stretch for this hold.
Wearing twins together in a wrap (cradle hold) - Note: the instructions shown use a Moby Wrap, but you could also use a Gypsy Mama Bali Baby Stretch for this hold.
Wearing twins together in a wrap (cross carry): follow the instructions for the cross carry, and tuck a baby into the pocket at each hip
Older babies (3 months and on):
Once the babies are 10-12 pounds or so, most moms find that using two separate carriers to hold the babies is a better option. You can use two wraps, two pouches or ring slings, two mei tais, or a mix and match combo of any of these. Feel free to experiment with different carries and combinations – just be sure the babies are balanced on your body. For instance, you can do one baby on each hip in a ring sling or pouch (crossing the carriers over your body), or one on front/one on back in two mei tais or in a mei tai/wrap combination.
Two Pouches Two Wraps Mei Tai and Wrap
Even when out and about with your stroller, it is nice to keep one or two carriers tucked into the basket, in case on or both of the twins gets fussy.
Nursing in a baby carrier
Learning to nurse even one baby hands-free in a baby carrier can really be helpful. For two babies at once, your best bet is wearing a baby on each hip in two crossed ring slings. You can position a baby at each breast and nurse them in a double clutch hold.
Weego Twin Baby Carrier.
Weego Twin Baby Carrier.
Thousands of parents worldwide have carried their babies in the Weego Twin Baby Carrier for many good reasons.
The Weego Twin is the soft baby carrier for twins. It is intended for use particularly in the first few months and allows you to carry both babies together on your front. This not only enables you to give both babies closeness and physical contact but also facilitates many activities (shopping, going for walks) without having to take a big twin stroller along.
The Weego Twin can be used with your babies from birth. This allows the use of the Weego Twin with small premature babies, as well as older, heavier twins. (If you don't want to carry two babies together, consider our Weego Preemie Carrier or our Weego Baby Carrier for Singletons.) Depending on the weight and size of the babies, the carrier can be used until your twins are approximately 5-6 months old (to 20 pounds maximum combined weight).
The double pouch construction of the Weego Twin features an inner and outer pouch for each baby to make sure both babies are always secure, comfortable and cozy. The Weego Twin easily adjusts for growing babies and to fit different people carrying the babies.
Weego gives your baby the closeness, safety and security that is so important in the early years. And the hands-free design gives you the freedom to enjoy an active life while carrying your baby.
Babies love to be carried!
During pregnancy, the baby experiences the closeness to its mother through her heartbeat, motion and voice. After birth, the baby thrives through close physical contact. Giving your child this physical closeness as often as you can will contribute to happy and healthy development.
Scientific research proves that children carried frequently are not only more content and cry less but carrying also:
supports the bonding between parents and child,
promotes the development of personality and self-confidence,
supports the development of linguistic abilities and motor skills
The Weego Twin makes this closeness possible. It gives your babies the space to discover the world and leaves parents´ hands free to explore with them.

New Native Baby Carrier Questions and Answers
New Native Baby Carrier Questions and Answers
Q:What makes the New Native® Baby Carrier different than other carriers?
A: Because our carrier is nonadjustable and comes in parent sizes there is no bulky padding or extra fabric to get in the way. For this reason our carrier is a little more streamlined than many other carriers on the market. Also we believe our carrier feels safer and more secure for your baby since there are no buckles to slip and be readjusted. The New Native Baby Carrier is a loop that is a pocket. It is simple yet effective. It has a curve built into the bottom which holds the sides up on both sides of the baby making it possible to have both hands free. This shape also makes it possible to put a folded towel under your baby to prop your baby up. The main reason babies do not like slings at first is if they can not see out before they are able to sit up on their own. The second reason for an unhappy baby is that some babies want to move their legs more than a sling allows. With ours a towel can be arranged to allow for kicking room. Put the carrier on over one arm and your head, it is on with no fuss. Open it up and put your baby in. This is quick and easy. The strap is 10 inches wide so it does not cut into the shoulder. It is better on the parent’s back than many other carriers.
Q: Is there a weight limit?
A: Our baby carrier has a suggested weight limit of 35 pounds. Toddlers are usually 2 to 4 years old when they weigh 35 pounds and can be carried in a hip straddle position. The carrier works great for babies and toddlers, for older babies, put the seam on the hip and put baby’s legs on either side of your body, then slip the baby’s legs into the carrier, pull carrier up to center of babies back. For toddlers you can hold the child on your hip then slip the carrier on and over both of you, then slip under baby’s bottom to just under the back of the knees and up around her back or have her just slip into the carrier.
Q: Can I use the carrier right away with my new born?
A: Yes, the carrier is designed to be used from infancy up to 35lbs.
Because little babies like to be able to peek out of the carrier you can use our specially designed infant support pillow inside which supports the baby’s spine and allows baby to peek out. For smaller babies the pillow adds extra support and holds them up higher. The pillow also helps babies straighten out more, otherwise they tend to curl up in a natural fetal Position.
You can also try using a towel, small pillow or anything soft that he will not get tangled in to prop him up higher, while also opening up the space to create more room for his legs. The infant support pillow is used generally until the baby can hold his or her head up on her own.
Q: Can I use the carrier with a preemie?
A: Premature babies can be contact-carried right away with a New Native® Baby Carrier. Please check with your doctor for contraindications and proper positioning in response to certain health complications. Many parents choose to purchase our infant support pillow to help with positioning. The infant support pillow supports the baby’s spine and helps the baby to peek out of the carrier more easily.
Q: How many months can I expect to use the infant support pillow?
A:The infant support pillow can be useful until your baby is around 5 months old and able to hold his head up by himself and sit up on his own. The length of use also depends on how your baby carrier fits you. If your carrier is fitting on the high and tight side, the pillow may lift your baby up too high in the carrier. If the carrier hangs lower down on your torso it is more likely that there will be room for both your baby and the pillow inside the carrier. In sizing the carrier, the best range for it to hang with the baby in it is when the bottom of the carrier is no higher than your belly button and no lower than the bend where your leg and hip meet. If your carrier is towards the lower end of this range the pillow can be useful. A folded towel can also be used from your baby’s bottom up to the back of his head. You may wish to try that first before buying the pillow.
Q: Can the carrier be used with twins?
A: Usually people with twins get two carriers, one for each baby. This is very comfortable for the parent when wearing both babies because each baby can be worn on opposite sides distributing the weight in a very balanced fashion. When the babies are new they can be worn together in the same carrier. The babies can be worn in one carrier for approximately four months or until their weight combined approaches the recommended weight limit of 35lbs.
Q: Why is the carrier non adjustable?
A: Our carrier is non adjustable so it will be comfortable for the parent and safe for the baby. Our carrier is more comfortable because there are no buckles or rings to cut into your shoulder and its cooler in the summer time since there isn’t a bunch of extra fabric and padding to get in the way. We believe our carrier is safer and more secure for your baby since there are no buckles to slip and be readjusted. Our affordable prices allow each parent to have the size that works best.
Q: Do people need to get a second carrier for when the baby gets bigger?
A: Most people only need one carrier from infancy up to 35lbs. However, some parents use more than one size for versatility with different carrier positions. The cradle position can be worn with a larger carrier especially with a bigger baby, and a smaller carrier is used to secure an older baby on your hip in an upright position.
Q: How do I breast feed my baby in the New Native® Baby Carrier?
A: Line the babies head and face up to the breast you wish to nurse your baby with. Next, pull your shirt up and pull the carrier down on the side closest to you and support the baby’s head with your hand or elbow. Lift your baby to your breast. Pull the outside fabric of the carrier up if you wish to be discreet. For an older baby that can sit up on his or her own you may not need to support their head with your elbow or hand.
Q: Is there a way or trick to breastfeed on both breasts when using the sling?
A:To nurse your baby on both sides:
When your baby is placed with baby’s head on your left side with the carrier over your left shoulder you can hook your baby up to your left breast in the cradle hold. Support the baby’s head and body with your left hand and arm. To nurse on the right side, lift your baby’s weight with your left hand, grip the carrier with your right hand and slide the carrier around to your right until the baby’s head is in position to nurse on your right breast in the football hold position. Support your baby’s head with your right hand and body with your arm. You can also have the carrier on your right shoulder and do the same thing in the opposite direction. Please call if you need more help with this.
Q: What is the difference between Organic and regular cotton?
A: Both our organic and regular fabrics are high quality fabrics.
Our organic cotton carriers are made from cotton that has been grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. Conventional growing methods deplete and toxify the soil, water, and air which compromises the health of humans and animals. Organic growing methods actually replenish the soil with vitamins and minerals to promote sustainability.
Likewise, the organic fabrics are processed without the use of toxic chemicals which are commonly discharged directly into our water supply with conventional processing methods. The methods and materials used in growing organic cotton are low impact on the environment and help to build and sustain biologically diverse agriculture. These improved industry standards care for our precious environment and help to promote a healthy future for generations to come.
Q: Does this company have a program for low income families?
A: Our Friend’s of Bonding program helps to subsidize carriers for low income families. Friend’s of Bonding is a group of people who, through their own experiences or observations, understand the value of increased parent-child bonding. The New Native® Baby Carrier is an especially effective tool that promotes bonding through contact carrying. Friend’s of Bonding encourages all forms of loving contact between parent and child, including traditional arm carrying and the use of similar sling-type carriers. Members of the Friends of Bonding community contribute time, effort or money to help parents who are less fortunate and may not be able to afford a carrier.
Please give us a call for more information. We are available Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm PST, at (831) 476-8114, or toll free 1-800-646-1682
Q: Are factory Seconds safe for babies?
A: Our Factory seconds are all inspected fully and are repaired securely. We only sell carriers that are structurally sound and safe for babies. The most common flaw is a “zigzag stitch” Which is where we have reinforced the fabric so it won’t become weak with use.
Q: Can my husband and I both wear the same carrier?
A: Because body dimensions vary greatly from person to person, most parents should be fitted for his or her own carrier. Occasionally some couples with a similar above the bust chest measurement can share the same carrier.
Q: Can people with back problems wear your carrier?
A: Many people with back problems have used our carrier successfully because our carrier distributes the weight evenly from shoulder to hip. The carrier strap which spreads across the parent’s shoulder is ten inches wide and covers a broad area across the shoulder. If the carrier is fitted correctly and the baby is hanging in the center of the parent’s body the carrier should feel very comfortable.
Baby K’tan Carrier Review
Baby K’tan Carrier Review
The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is made entirely of soft, breathable 100% cotton knit fabric that is strong enough to hold a child from birth to 42 lbs. The unique patent pending design consists of two loops of fabric connected with a sliding support band. Parents can stylishly carry their babies in 8 comfortable positions, while freeing up their hands to tend to other tasks or other children. Babies can be snuggled and breastfed in the Cradle and Explore positions. They can also be carried upright, facing in or out, and as they get older, they can be carried on your hip.
We chose to carry our son on the hip, which is very comfortable for both him and us. I actually noticed that he loved being in that position so much that he cuddled in and seemed more at ease as we walked through the mall. I even had parents approach me and ask me which carrier I was using because it is hard to find a product that will accommodate a child his age.
It takes some practice, to learn how to configure the loops so that you have them in the right spot for each position. With some patience you will find ones you will love and never forget them.
If you are still need some extra help, a complete ‘loop by loop’ instruction is available for each position at the company’s website with video for extra reference.
This carrier is unique because it is not a one size fits all product. The site has a sizing chart to help parents determine which size is right for you. It is very important that you get a Baby Carrier with the optimal fit, so that you and your baby are comfortable and secure.
The snug fit not only keeps your baby close, but it supports them in ways in which they need to be supported in order for them to develop properly.

Andrew S. Rubin, PhD, child psychologist & professor in child development and infant mental health at NSU, states "studies have proven that wearing your baby will facilitate mental growth and development, and using a Baby K'tan will promote the carrying for much longer due to its versatile functionality, ease of use & strength limit, as compared to the other carriers on the market."
The secret behind Baby K'tan's unparalleled ease, security, and comfort is its unique two-loop design, which allows parents to carry their infants and toddlers (from birth to 4 years old) in eight different positions. Available in solids, tie dyes, and prints, every Baby K'tan also has a built-in back support band to keep mom and dad as comfortable as baby.
And we're not just about comfort: every Baby K'tan comes with a matching baby hat and
Sash, and soon to include an original children's book!
The Baby K'tan Baby Carrier was developed by two couples, each raising three kids in Florida. One family has a child with Down's syndrome and the other has a child who required heart surgery when he was four weeks old. The four parents - a day trader, a biologist, an aeronautics salesman, and an attorney -- were driven to invent Baby K'tan when none of them could find an existing baby carrier that suited their babies' needs.
The Baby K'tan team proudly devotes a percentage of its proceeds to the American Heart Association and to organizations that assist individuals and families living with Down syndrome.
